How do you handle long distance relationships?

My boyfriend %26amp;%26amp; I live in 2 diffrent states. He is in Alaska and I am in Washington. I dont ever want to break up with him but long distance relationships are very hard to deal with. We IM constantly. We email eachother and we talk on the phone for hours. Im just wondering if anyone knows how to make it a little easier.How do you handle long distance relationships?
There really are not many ways to make long distance relationships easier other than visits every once in a while. That is pretty difficult and can get pretty expensive.





My boyfriend and I live in Alaska and when I took a two week trip to Washington to visit family it was so hard to be away for so long. I know, it was only two weeks, but to me it was forever. We talked on the phone a lot, IMed with our webcams, and texted a lot between the times we couldn't do the other two. I know, it's hard, but if you want to make it work you've got to put your all into the relationship. Maybe write him a letter or send him a card every once in a while. He can send you small things too. Letters are more personal than anything on the computer and you will always be looking forward to finding something in the mail. It will add at least a bit of excitement that a long distance relationship needs.

Try webcam. Send pictures of yourself with your emails. Try to arrange trips to see each other over breaks and stuff like that if it's possible?
well if you choose to carry it on things will start to get hard. You have just got to make sure you trust each other don't start getting paranoid just because you cannot see what the other person is doing if you do then it will cause alot of arguments and things will start getting alot harder
