How do you deal with a long distance relationship?

i've been dating my boyfriend for about 1.5 years, and we've been long distance for about 1 year. we're serious and have talked about getting engaged when i'm out of school and he's done with his current work program. the problem is, his job entails him traveling to a new location every 3-4 months. sometimes he gets stationed a few hours away and we can see each other a few times a month, but other times he gets stationed in places that are too far for frequent visits and we only see each other once a month. he's about to be sent overseas and i'm really not doing well with it. i miss him so much when he's away and it gets very hard since he is very busy with work. i don't want to break up, but i was wondering if any girls have some advice on how to deal with a long distance relationship? it's so difficult when you miss someone so much and start to feel lonely. i get discouraged thinking that it will be another year and a half before this is all over and we can be together.How do you deal with a long distance relationship?
of course u will miss him but if u think about it not seeing him everyday will make the time u are together even more special. the way to get through it is to call and talk to him everyday and so hearing his voice will calm you even though u can't see him.
