How do you deal with long distance relationships?

My boyfriend is stationed ini Japan for another two years. Him not being here for me when I need him is really hard to deal with. I need advise on what I can do to pass time and keep my mind off of him.How do you deal with long distance relationships?
About a year ago, i was in a long distance relationship with this guy i happened to meet through my cousins. I was so in love with him and we dated for about 11 months. Its hard to deal with the situation that you are in because he is so far away from you. You are probably head over heels about his guy and dont want to lose him. But why make yourself suffer when in the end, it might not turn out the way you would like it too. I mean dont take me wrong, but staying with him might not be the best decision. Just follow your heart because this might be what you need.How do you deal with long distance relationships?

Maybe you should end it, and when he comes back see where you guys are at?
join a excercise class ! or jazz dancing ! or even plan on a trip to go see him maybe ! go to bingo some nights! or even to the movies with friends ! get into crafts at home or having girl friends to come over and play cards or listen to music! i know its hard not having him with you but he is feeling the same way about you its just he is having to stay busy in their but when he lays his head down thats when he is thinking about you too. just try to do things with friends and stay busy and you will get by and the two years will go by fast ! good luck and be patient
